![]() It's kind of not clickbait though, because I feel very passionately about this conversation and do have a lot of concerns about the current state of AI art. Hey, Graphic Designer artist guy here and I am just now watching the VOD from yesterday and incredibly bummed I missed out on this discussion. I also don't know if it was ever played outside the confines of Rare's offices. ![]() I could be wrong but I don't think this early build was ever made publicly available. Also like TF, each class was given a more distinct appearance and clothes, with notably more diverse body types compared to the beta build. So instead of the style of play present in the N64 original and presumably the early Uncut build, wherein a character would simply pick up weapons lying around the the arena, characters in the final build belonged to classes with weapons pre-equipped for each class. The final game had its multiplayer philosophy substantially altered, with the creator citing Team Fortress (2?) as a major inspiration. There may also have been custom costume options for your soldiers. This early version also made use of an Ocarina of Time-styled HUD that had big colorful button icons while that control scheme was retained in the final release, the button icons were shrunken considerably There was also a female bear soldier not seen in the final release. Perhaps at this early time, Rare wasn't fully sure of what sort of graphics they could manage on XBox. The standard body type for the squirrel and bear soldiers remained mostly the same in this early build, with the poly-count noticeably increased from what it had been on N64, but lacking the fur shading that was present in the eventual release. Originally, so far as people could discern, their plans for the multiplayer mode were closer to that of the N64 game, and so were the character designs. They changed that last word in the title once the game had more bleeping and some padding cut out of it, making it no longer accurate, but that's not all. The plan with this game was always to have a remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day, but uncut, and with additional/different multiplayer content. However, of at least some interest to the community is Conker: Live and Uncut, the pre-release build of Live and Reloaded. Much of the time when people discuss such things, they gravitate towards Conker's Quest/Twelve Tales: Conker 64, the game that eventually became Conker's Bad Fur Day, and the two planned sequels (or depending on how you look at it, one sequel and one spin-off) to Conker's Bad Fur Day. (Beta build of Live and Reloaded)Īs noted before, Conker the Squirrel is the King of Lost, Canceled and Unreleased media.
